The Spinster is an older woman with glasses who frequents the Winchester every night. In an effort to cheer up Shaun, Ed makes up several facts about her, including that she’s a "cockacidal maniac", an ex-porn star, and that she starred in the world’s first interracial hardcore film.
Later, when the group is trying to get into the Winchester, the Spinster approaches them as a zombie. After a horde of zombies break into the pub and the remainder of the group hide behind the flaming bar, the Spinster goes around and enters through the side of the bar. Fortunately, the flames from the bar ignite a box of shells and one of the shells explodes and strikes her in the head, killing her instantly.
